Personal Work Space (PWS) is the biggest division of Logitech, consisting of the tech devices and apps that help people be at their creative and productive best in their workspace. Our PWS business is a key pillar of Logitech’s future as a global brand known for great design and exceptional user experiences. 

You will be in the rapidly growing China for China(C4C) team in PWS, and play a role in executing a new product in a range of segments, including human-interface devices, personal working place solutions, human-computer interaction, and other emerging technologies for China users. 

You will be based in our Suzhou office, and report to the Mechanical Team Manager.

Your Role

You will lead the Mechanical engineering(ME) system innovation, design, and development of C4C Evolutionary-type products. 

  • You will lead the ME technology scouting and development: Identify the internal and external customers’ needs,  create a technology roadmap, communicate with stakeholders, get to alignment, and scout and develop the technology.

  • You will develop the new C4C products as a leader for ME, heavily through feasibility studies, concept design, architecture design, risk analysis, and verification to ensure project goals, costs, and schedules are met and even exceeded.  

  • You will act as a consultant to provide ME engineering expertise in hardware specification, design, and issue investigation.

  • you will facilitate the communication and collaboration with suppliers, and internal and external customers to refine the C4C product’s ME process,  covering product engineering specifications, design, prototyping, and qualification for mass production.

  • You will collaborate with other functions (PM, Electrical, Optical, Acoustic, and so on) in the C4C team to achieve seamless product design and development.

Key Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in Product design and development of high-volume consumer electronic products, covering both ME and CMF. 

  • 2+ years experience as a technical leader to define, plan, and monitor technical or NPI projects;

  • Self-motivated, passionate, and with a high energy level.

  • Always has the end-user experience in mind to drive technical and communication solutions.

Desired Skills

  • Must have skills

  • 3D and 2D CAD skills including geometrical tolerance knowledge.

  • Good communication in English both oral and written. 

  • Proven expertise in Plastic parts and Metal parts’ ME structure development: Strength, tolerancing, joining, reliability, Drop test, and vibration. 

  • Proven experience in CMF development. 

  • In-depth knowledge of sustainable materials, processes, and technologies

  • Demonstrated expertise in designing parts for a broad range of manufacturing processes: plastic injection molding, compression molding, metal stamping, metal injection molding, die casting, metal extrusion, metal machining, etc.

  • In-depth design validation skills including tolerance analysis, statistical analysis, FEA analysis (FEA), risk assessment (FMEA), prototyping, failure analysis, problem-solving (8D, PDCA, DMICA ), and design of experiments

  • Capable skills

    • Multi-functional design skills including mechanism design, electro-mechanical integration, and PCB mechanical design.

    • Coaching junior Engineer to provide technical direction or guidance, and managing ME crisis.

Education

Bachelor or Master in Mechanical or Material Engineering or equivalent.
